Over nine days, you will explore historic districts, vibrant local markets, and remote jungle trails leading to the Lost City, one of South America’s most important archaeological sites. Led by expert guides, the experience combines cultural immersion, trekking through the Sierra Nevada, and meaningful encounters with indigenous communities. • Transfer to the airport for your flight to Santa Marta.

The Mamey - Camps One
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• 8:30 am. Transfer by 4x4 vehicle for a 2.5-hour drive to the Mamey region, where we will have lunch before beginning our search for the sacred site of the Tairona (ancient inhabitants of the Lost City).
• In the late afternoon, we will arrive at Camp 1. Nearby, we will find rivers where we can rest (weather permitting). After dinner, accommodations in hammocks will be provided for us to rest and spend the night. Today we will hike for 4 hours, covering 5-6 km, mostly uphill with a little downhill.
Camps One - Camps Three
• The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a hike through the Buritaca River valley. There, we'll encounter numerous dwellings that make up a Kogui indigenous village called Mutanshi. Our hike for the day is approximately 7 hours (14.7 km, mostly uphill, with little downhill), passing through the Sierra Nevada rainforest and encountering its diverse natural beauty, until we finally arrive at Camp 3 where we eat, rest, and spend the night in hammocks or beds.
Camp 3 - The Lost City - Camp 2
• We had breakfast very early to begin our ascent to our destination. We started by climbing 1,200 steps, a path built by the Tyrona people themselves. At the top, we reached the long-awaited Lost City. Once there, the guide showed us around and shared information about this magical place, filled with relics and ancient stories. We spent the morning enjoying the scenery, with ample time to rest and take photographs (under the guide's supervision). Finally, we returned to Camp 3 for lunch and continued along the same path back to Camp 2, where we had dinner and spent the night in beds or hammocks (depending on availability). This was a 7-hour hike (6 km, plus some uphill and downhill sections).
Camp 2 - Camp 1
• We had breakfast very early, then headed back to Camp 1 where we spent the first night. We'll rest there for the rest of the day, have lunch and dinner, and spend the night in hammocks. Here you'll notice the difference between the four-day and five-day tours. This will be a 4-hour hike, 6 km of ups and downs.
Camp 1 - The Mamey - Santa Marta
• The final day of our adventure in the Sierra Nevada begins with breakfast, followed by the return journey to where it all started. Along the way, we'll find rivers and waterfalls to cool off, until we finally reach El Mamey, where we'll have lunch. The van will then be waiting to take us back to Santa Marta, arriving between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm (depending on the group and their walking pace). We'll have thoroughly enjoyed this enriching new experience in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. This will be a 4-hour, 5-kilometer hike with a mix of gentle uphill and downhill sections from Santa Marta.
• Transfer to the Senda Hotels hotel, on the beach very close to the Tayrona National Park.
• Dinner on your own.
Santa Marta - Bogotá
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Lateral to relax and enjoy the beach and the hotel.
• Lunch (not included).
• Afternoon transfer to the airport in Santa Marta for your flight to Bogotá.
• In Bogotá, transfer to your selected hotel.
• Dinner on your own.
Historical and cultural Bogotá
• Breakfast at the hotel.
• Guided tour of the Paloquemao market square to explore Colombian fruits and pastries (3 hours).
• Return to the hotel.
• Free time depending on your return flight.
• Transfer to El Dorado Airport for your return flight.
